The Sonus SFX-1 4" Spot Pad is the ideal solution for polishing out surface scratches, water or bird spot etching and heavy swirl marks when using a dual-action machine. Larger pads simply cannot apply enough energy to the polish to effectively "cut" the paint to make the repair. The Sonus SFX-1 4" Spot Pad focuses the dual-action machine's energy on a smaller area to get more work out of the polish.
Use with compounds and paint cleaners designed to remove 1200 grit sanding marks. When used in conjunction with the proper backing plate, the Sonus SFX-1 4" Spot Pad can be used with a dual-action polisher, rotary buffer or cordless drill.

Dual Action Backing Plates
Probably the best backing plates available on the market today – as used by major European car manufacturers in their factories. The flexible urethane design provides several advantages over rigid backing plates.
- The velcro hook and loop fastening material is moulded into the plate, eliminating the risk of delamination.
- The urethane body reduces spontaneous heat build-up when moving from flat to contoured surfaces and vastly reduces heat transfer from the motor of the polisher.
- The design is reinforced internally using steel struts moulded into the centre hub, which gives superior strength whilst keeping the weight down.
The steel 5/16 UNF threaded post fits many popular dual action polishers, including the Meguiars G220 Dual Action Polishing Machine and the Kestrel DAS-6 Dual Action Polishing Machine, and allows quick and easy plate exchanges. |
